Many guests return year after year, allowing me to take a personal approach to safari planning. Rather than offering a fixed portfolio of tours, I carefully build trips around a selected collection of camps and lodges that I know well and return to regularly. Each tour below has been built for photographers, with consideration of seasons, locations and flexibility; and links to previous trip reports give a good sense of the overall experience. These tours are almost always one-off safaris so they do not have extended itinerary pages — and spaces are shown where still available.  Please contact me for further information.

Over the last fifteen years of guiding photo safaris, I’ve spent countless hours exploring the best corners of the African bush and getting to know the people who make these places so special. As much as I love being in the vehicle with my guests, my time in the field is naturally limited, and my schedule fills up fast. That’s why we’ve put together ESPS Curated Safaris—a way for you to travel to my favourite spots, completely backed by my logistics, without having to work around my tight schedule.

We will build a trip for you from scratch using everything I’ve learned on the ground. We’ll send you to the camps I personally rely on and pair you with the brilliant local guides I’ve worked with for years. These guys know the land inside out, but more importantly, they get what photographers are looking for—whether that’s sitting patiently for the light to hit just right, or knowing when to hold back to let a sighting unfold naturally. You’ll get all the insider knowledge and vehicle positioning.

In advance of the trip, I’ll schedule online meetings to ensure you are well-prepared, offering advice on clothing and packing, technical assistance with kit selection, camera settings and ways that you can get into practice…in fact, just the same as my guided guests receive. I’ll also advise on areas to target while on safari and opportunities to explore with your guides.

You’ll also receive the exact same seamless travel arrangements and logistical backing as my guided trips, but with much more flexibility on dates….and at a lower price point. Whether you’re heading out on your own, as a couple, or with a few friends, we take care of all the background details from start to finish so you can just focus on enjoying the bush and taking great photos.
